| Cillian Lordan: heading to Holland |
2010 Cork City FORAS skipper Cillian Lordan will miss the new Airtricity League of Ireland season because he has gotten an offer to work in the Netherlands with a Dutch accountancy firm. He will be greatly missed by "The Rebel Army."
Lordan has won the League (2005), FAI Cup (2007) and Setanta Cup (2008) with Cork City FC.
City will now be looking for a new captain for the 2011 season, with midfielfer/assistant manager Greg O'Halloran the most obvious choice. Recently returned Danny Murphy and Gavin Kavanagh would also have to be on the short-list.
