| Title fight televised thanks to Dolphil Boxing Promotions |
Montrose (RTÉ) bosses have finally announced today that Willie "Big Bang" Casey's World - Title shot against WBA Super Bantamweight World Champion Guillermo Rigondeaux will be live on RTÉ TWO television tomorrow week, 19th March. Only then can the inquest begin as to how it took the national broadcaster so long to agree a deal with fight promoters Nowhere2Hyd, who will have to come up with most of, if not all of the €75,000 production costs. The bout will be broadcast across RTÉ Two Television, RTÉ Radio and worldwide on RTÉ.ie. RTÉ Head of Sport Ryle Nugent has paid tribute to Dolphil Promotions for their efforts in getting the Title fight televised: "The televising of the fight has been made possible by Dolphil Promotions having secured independent finance to cover the associated television production costs."

As Casey winds down his training; Newstalk Radio announced last night that they had snapped up the radio rights. Newstalk Chief sports editor Ger Gilroy said: "Given all the doubts about the television coverage, we felt it was important that someone stepped in to make sure fight fans had live coverage guaranteed."
