HAPPIER TIME: O'Leary puts Ireland into 1990 World Cup Quarter Final
NOT HAPPY: Abdullah Al Naboodah
Former Repubic of Ireland international Dave O'Leary's time in charge of Al-Ahli in the United Arab Emirates has come to an end after the club revealed that they plan to sack him this weekend. O'Leary was hand picked by former Al-Ahli director of football Mark Bell - who has also left the club recently - and it was the owner's (Abdullah Al Naboodah) personal rapport with the now 52 year-old which secured a three-year deal in August last year.
Al Naboodah has given his approval for the sacking of the Dubliner based on the team's recent form - a run which culminated in a 5-1 spanking at the hands of league leaders Al Jazira on Thursday night.
