Cardinals / Cowboys Christmas Cracker!

Play of the Game:
Feely's Field Goal earns victory at the death

I don't often mention American Football on this site (due partly to my lack of knowledge on the game) but this Christmas (Day) cracker could not be ignored!

Play-off chasing Arizona Cardinals and Dallas Cowboys played out a titanic struggle as a kick with five seconds on the clock from Jay Feely, saw the Card's home at University of Phoenix Stadium.

The Card's took a 14-0 first quarter lead with two intercept touchdowns. A third touchdown in the second quarter put the Card's into a 21-3 lead - which was the first touchdown pass of 22-year-old rookie John Skelton's career. Fellow rookie Andre Roberts got in for the 74-yard score, before Kitna hit Witten to cut the gap to 21-10 at half-time.

Marion Barber's 24-yard touchdown run took Dallas within a point and debutant third-string QB Stephen McGee found Miles Austin to put the Cowboys ahead for the first time at 26-24 with 01:41 on the clock in the fourth quarter.

Cowboys celebrate too soon

But David Buehler missed the extra point and the Cowboys paid a high price in the dying moments as Feeley landed a field goal with five seconds to play and the Cowboys simply had no time to recover the 27-26 deficit as the Cards reach the play-offs with this last gasp win!

Cardinals celebrate that winning feeling!
