FIFA President puts his foot in it - AGAIN.
FIFA President Sepp Blatter has been asked to withdraw a statement he made regarding homosexuality. He was asked about the fact that homosexuality is illegal in Qatar (the recently announced host nation of the 2002 FIFA World Cup). Blatter replied by initially laughing and then stating: "Well maybe homosexuals should refrain from sexual activity....." Blatter made further comments on the topic, which could be perceived as insesitive at best - offensive at worst. With dinosaurs like this in charge at the very highest level of football, it's little wonder that there is so much controversy over the politics of football.
