Former Ireland International Chris Hughton has told Sky Sports that his sacking by Newcastle United was a complete surprise and "I still don't know why I was sacked. I wasn't given any reason, it was a very quick conversation with the chairman (Mike Ashley). I wasn't expecting it and I still don't know why I was sacked."
